William Burford House, Cheltenham

Project type

Development of former office space and car park into 9 new homes

Scope

Office Conversion to 4 Apartments and development of 5 New Dwellings on former carpark

Development of former office space and car park into 9 new town centre apartments

Located in the Central Conservation Area, William Burford House was formerly an office building with parking. The scheme was for 5 new dwellings on the former carpark site as well as conversion of the existing building into 4 new apartments with off street parking. Planning was secured through a sympathetic conversion of the original building maintaining its exterior architectural character. In addition, the aesthetic for the new dwellings drew from the existing William Burford House as well as the neighbouring units, resulting in a contemporary form which sits comfortably within its context, and corresponds in scale, form and use of materials.
