New mixed-use development for Bishops CleeveThis project, part of a wider development programme to the north west of Bishop Cleeve, has called upon our expertise in creating a new building offering both retail and office potential. The three-floor development will comprise of 850m2 of new retail space and 800m2 of separate offices. The retail space will be divided into a new convenience store and three or four ground floor retail units which will serve both the new and existing housing and upper floors. The mix of differently sized commercial spaces will offer opportunities for both larger chain or smaller independent retailers as well as for potential office relocations or independent companies.

New retail store and gym – Upton-on-SevernThe former Countrywide Stores site in Upton-on-Severn, in the Malvern Hills Worcestershire, is being redeveloped into a new retail store, gym and private dwelling. We’ve been working closely with clients Warner’s Retail (South West) Ltd and Barnwood Construction on this two-storey scheme to keep the design and scale in line with the town’s existing architecture. Our application of traditional aesthetics with brick walling, pitched roofs and dormer features will ensure a good visual fit and deliver improvements on the previous building’s profile. Built on a plinth above the flood plain the new building, due for completion in 2022, will provide a perfect mix of uses for the local community.

New business incubator units for Cheltenham start-ups Former car storage areas linked to a now-closed motor dealership have provided the basis for our new Blaisdon Road small commercial business units project, complete with opportunity for trade counters. Developed in response to increasing demand for start-up business space, the regeneration proposal comprises the provision of 12 new trade / business incubator units formed in three blocks. The 15,000ft2 proposal has been developed in line with our client’s aspirations to create a high-quality development of new commercial units, utilising an existing brown field site to provide for continued and future business development in the locality. The car dealership building has already been converted to a gym with its own associated parking provision. |
