Planning secured for extension and renovation project in the Cotswolds
March 9, 2026
The team at coombes everitt have secured planning approval for a new extension and renovation project in the Cotswolds.
The approved scheme will see an existing garage demolished and replaced by a comprehensive rear and side extension.
The clients really wanted the existing floorplan to flow better, so part of the project will include a reimagining of the home, as well as an increase in space with the addition of the extension.
The proposals also include upgrading the existing building fabric, which will include over-cladding, to significantly enhance thermal performance and raise the home’s overall energy efficiency standards.
The house is in a Cotswold village, so the cladding materials have been chosen sensitively. Natural stone façades and slate roofing reflect the local vernacular, while contemporary touches, such as zinc standing seam elements and frameless glass balustrades, provide a subtle yet confident contrast to the architecture.
