We have won planning permission for two new high-end homes in the popular Lansdown Road area of the town.

Located just opposite Dean Close School, 88 Lansdown Road was originally constructed as a private house in the 1950s and has undergone a number of extensions over the years. The property was, until recently, used as a bed and breakfast business.

Our approved designs are for two four-bed, flat glass-roofed dwellings. The site backs onto the local railway line and is in the borough’s conservation area, and the design has been developed to take this into account. The current open frontage and vista along the road will be maintained, in keeping with the local environment.

The homes have been designed with sustainability in mind, including high levels of efficient insulation, low energy and low water use fittings and appliances, and provision for electric vehicle charging.

Work on the new homes will begin in early 2022.
